Libraries and book databases: where my books are registered

As a Local Entity SEO specialist I tell business owners: make sure trusted sources say the same thing about you. I do exactly that for my books. Below you see which libraries and databases list them, with the ID each source uses.

What business owners can learn from this

One name, the same everywhere

Every source says “Gijs Bodenstaff”, never a variant. The same goes for a business: name, address and phone number must match in every listing.

A fixed ID for every thing

A book has an ISBN, an author an ORCID iD. For a business that is your Google Business Profile and your listings in trusted registers. The more stable the ID, the less Google has to guess.

Link the sources together

On my sites the schema (sameAs) points to these sources, so a search engine sees it is the same person. Read how that works for a business on the Wikidata page.

What is not listed yet

On 14 October 2026 only Local SEO 2026 is in the KB catalogue. Local Entity SEO 2027 and AI Search in de Zorg 2027 follow once the legal deposit is processed. I only list a source after checking it live myself.

Frequently asked questions about the registrations

Why does an SEO specialist register his books in databases?

Search engines and AI assistants recognise an author through sources that confirm each other. A library catalogue and a book database are such sources.

Which library holds a book by Gijs Bodenstaff?

The KB, the National Library of the Netherlands in The Hague, holds Local SEO 2026 with PPN 461497948.

What is a PPN?

A PPN is the fixed record number of a title in the shared catalogue of Dutch libraries (GGC).

What does an ORCID or ISBN mean for a business owner?

Nothing directly, but the principle is the same for your business: one fixed ID and one spelling of your name, so sources point to the same entity.

Can I preview a book by Gijs Bodenstaff for free?

Yes, Local Entity SEO 2027 has a searchable preview in Google Books.

How often is this overview checked?
